"Jurat" - Selva-

      DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA

The municipality of Selva includes:  Selva, Caimari, Biniamar,
Binibona and Moscari.
 

Located in the bottom northern area of  the "Serra Tramuntana" .With a dimension of 47.48 km2 and 2903 inhabitants.  Selva resides within a  landscape  made up by a calcareous mountain, heavy and solid, with natural forests and very tinged lands.

The most important craft is the footwear production and leather accessories. Another production is the clay, used for  making  tiles and  ceramic pieces. Olive oil also contributes to the gastronomy of this region.

The local fiesta is held on August 10th, a celebration of St Llorenç .

"Sa Caveta" is situated 500 mts from the town of Selva and 25 km
from Alcúdia and Pollença Bay.
